Carlo Pesenti, CEO of Italcementi Group, visited the Tourah and Helwan plants in Cairo on Wednesday, March 31st, 2010.

During the visit, Mr. Pesenti was joined by key management figures, including Dr. Giovanni Ferrario, Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Fabrizio Donegà, Zone 3 Director, Mr. Roberto Callieri, Egypt’s Managing Director and the rest of the Country’s management team.

At the end of the visit, Mr. Pesenti congratulated all the team on the amount of progress achieved by both plants, and highlighted that the Group considers Egypt as one of its key markets and it is working closely with local management in Egypt to enhance the operational performances.

Commenting on the visit, Roberto Callieri, Managing Director of Suez Cement Group said:  ‘It’s a great honour to have Mr. Pesenti with us today in Cairo, his visit highlights just how significant the Country is as well as his commitment to create a strong relationship with Suez Cement’s staff in Egypt.’
